About Me

Hello! I’m Lisa Scavone, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Cuyahoga Community College. I am also currently pursuing a doctoral degree, the EdD in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Educational Technology at the University of Florida.

I teach a full range of mathematics courses at the community college level, from remedial to college-transfer. I have extensive experience teaching online, as well as in blended and traditional environments.

My research interests include online learning and the gender gap in math self-efficacy, female stereotype threat in mathematics education, and the underrepresentation of women in STEM fields.
